Still kicking!
I realize I have not posted to the blog in quite a while. That is because we are primarily active on our main website:
www.seattlechessmeetup.org
But the meetups have been continuing and we have a lot of new faces. If you are a Seattle area chess player looking for casual over the board play, we would love to see you. Go ahead and register at the meetup site.

Several new faces
Wanted to welcome our newer members and also point out that despite the lack of recent posts to the blog, the Seattle Chess Meetup is still alive and kicking. Currently meetups are scheduled for Mondays and Tuesdays. If you live in the Seattle area and are looking for casual chess games, visit our main meetup site:

Thursday Meetup 12/16
Fun games on Thursday. We had one new player, and more blitz games than we have previously.
Below is another game with Josh. So far I have posted a win for Josh and a draw from previous meetups, so this one is a win for me. Lots of missed opportunities in this one too. Only saving grace for me in this one was that Josh hung his queen ;-)

Monday Meetup, December 13, 2010
Once again, several interesting games. I decided to post this draw with Josh. Several missed chances in this one. Move 45 is entertaining as I bungle a chance for a win. Commentary is by Fritz 12, which has something of an attitude if you ask me ;-)
